It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 18th Yisunsin Cup International Yacht Race, held in the beautiful city of Tongyeong, renowned for its spectacular views of the Hallyeo Waterway.
First and foremost, we hope that this competition will be a memorable and extraordinary experience for each of you. We extend our deepest gratitude to Governor Park Wan-soo of Gyeongnam, Mayor Cheon Young-gee of Tongyeong, Gyeongsangnam-do Sailing Federation Chariman Lee Sang-seok, and all those whose hard work has made this event possible.
Dear Yachting Community,
Yachting is a unique sport that challenges us to confront both ourselves and the vast forces of nature. The profound feeling of unity with nature—flowing along the waves and catching the wind—is an experience that only yachting can provide.
The waters around Tongyeong offer the ideal setting to enjoy this experience to the fullest. We are confident that Tongyeong will be a perfect stage for this competition, allowing all participants to showcase their years of dedication and skill. Hello! I am Jeong Jeom-sig, a member of the National Assembly, and it is both an honor and a pleasure to welcome you to the 18th Yisunsin Cup International Yacht Race. I extend a heartfelt greeting to all the athletes who have traveled to our beautiful coastal city of Tongyeong to participate in this prestigious competition.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Gyeongnam Province Governor Park Wan-soo, Tongyeong Mayor Cheon Young-gee, Korea Sailing Federation Chariman Park Bum-kyu, Gyeongsangnam-do Sailing Federation Chariman Lee Sang-seok, and all other stakeholders for their generous support in making this event possible and for their ongoing commitment to the development of the marine leisure industry in Gyeongnam.
Tongyeong, recognized as Korea's premier marine tourism destination, has become a yacht mecca that draws attention from around the world. It is profoundly meaningful for me, as a local member of the National Assembly, to host this remarkable competition in the stunning blue waters of Tongyeong.
As we mark the 18th anniversary of the Yisunsin Cup, we anticipate that this competition will provide excitement and enjoyment, serving as a platform for mutual exchange among yacht enthusiasts and a stage for showcasing challenges and passions that transcend individual capabilities.
We hope that all participating athletes will fully demonstrate the skills they have developed through dedication and training, achieving the excellent results they aspire to.
